While rehearsing a scene with co-star Johnny Galecki, during which their characters were supposed to be fighting, the two decided to pull a

Free pretzels today

Free pretzels today are being offered today at the Pretzelmaker chain to celebrate National Pretzel Day (find locations below). Now there's a holiday that flies low under the radar. Yet it was 30 years ago that Pennsylvania Rep. Robert S. Walker declared a commemorative day for pretzels. It didn't stick. The holiday was re-declared in 2003 by Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell. And now it's celebrated with huge parties and pretzel parades worldwide! No, it's not. But it is a great day to refresh our love for what some historians believe to be the world's oldest snack food (not to be confused with the world's oldest McDonald's hamburger). Did you know: -- Pretzels may have gotten their start around AD 610 in a European monastery, where monks folded scraps of dough to resemble a child's arms folded in prayer. Can you spot the pretzels in the 1559 painting (Pieter Bruegel's "The Fight Between Carnival and Lent") above?* -- According to Guinness Wo

I was doing a show and I changed there and I went I couldn't wear underwear. I don't think I can tell this story on TV," the 40-year-old said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Apr. 26. "Well, let's just say everyone went scrambling for a razor." Paltrow said she was "humiliated" by the bad press the garment generated. A curious DeGeneres then asked, "It was just the side of your leg. . .What is going on with you?" "I work a '70s vibe," Paltrow said coyly. "You know what I mean?" She told Ellen how the gown's shear fish-net sides didn't allow for underwear. She took the gown with her to change into before walking the red carpet into the premiere. As soon as she put it on it was obvious to all involved that she needed a quick shave. Ellen quipped, the gown only had the sheer opening on the sides, but Paltrow quickly added that it is the way she walks that warranted the shave, “I walk a 70's vibe,” Paltrow said coyly, “You know what I mean?” She said she was humiliated by the bad press the

Bynes shaves half head

Bynes shaves half head, an American actress Amanda Bynes's state of mind in recent months has been expressed through her hair. When her extensions were "matted and messy," it was a sign that she "has had a rough time of late." When she dyed her hair red, then tweeted and deleted , "I've never been a redhead! Somebody keeps posing as me," it was a sign either of paparazzi-evading desperation or a break from reality. Two weeks ago, a claim that damaged hair had driven her to shave her head (and replace her hair with extensions) drew comparisons to Britney Spears. Last night on Twitter, Bynes finally revealed her "buzzed" scalp. And it wasn't as bad as we'd feared! Her shaved head is a hairdo, not a sign of insanity. "No more old photos!" refers to Bynes's quixotic mission to convince the press to use selfies from her Twitter feed instead of recent paparazzi shots or older red-carpet ones when they write about her.

Too sexy for Saudi? Saudi man deported for being attractive

Too sexy for Saudi? Was Omar Borkan Al Gala too sexy for Saudi? It sounds hard to believe, but that’s exactly the news that’s being reported on Friday, April 26. According to multiple reports, Omar Borkan Al Gala was feared to be too physically attractive to women, which resulted in Saudi officials deporting him (and two other men). The reason for the deportation was more about the women of the region than the men who got the pink slip. Saudi officials are said to fear that the women would get too excited in their presence, thus drumming up feelings and emotions in the women that officials clearly try to suppress. According to the Telegraph and The Sun, Omar appears on his Facebook page wearing eyeliner. The website even calls his photographs “sultry.” Instead he has continued to post his sultry pictures, sometimes wearing a Lakers jersey and at others posing with a sports car or with a rifle. "The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to h
