Missing 10-year-old found alive

10-year-old found alive, A 10-year-old girl who disappeared from her Northridge home overnight has been found alive and apparently healthy in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles police said.

She was taken to a nearby hospital for an examination, police said.

Nicole Ryan's mother told authorities that she saw her daughter in her bedroom about 1 a.m. Wednesday, but when she checked on her about two hours later, the girl was gone.

Authorities searched the home in the 8800 block of Oakdale Avenue and canvassed the neighborhood but had not found the girl.

Police called in the FBI and brought additional resources from across the San Fernando Valley to help search for Nicole. Helicopter media footage showed the barefoot girl being led into an ambulance. She was wearing a white T-shirt instead of the black shirt she was last seen wearing.

Actress Ashley Judd, No to Senate Run in Kentucky

Ashley Judd announced on Twitter yesterday that she wouldn’t challenge Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) for his Senate seat in 2014.

At 4:09 she tweeted: “After serious and thorough contemplation, I realize that my responsibilities and energy at this time need to be focused on my family.”

And a minute later: “Regretfully, I am currently unable to consider a campaign for the Senate. I have spoken to so many Kentuckians over these last few months.”

It seems a number of Kentucky Democrats were worried her staunchly liberal views - such as strongly condemning the practice of mountaintop removal mining - would be too difficult to overcome in rural parts of the state where the coal industry has a dominant presence.

Apparently, Judd was not afraid to tackle McConnell, 71, who is seeking his sixth term in the Senate.

“I have been raped twice, so I think I can handle Mitch McConnell,” she apparently said at a private dinner in February, The Huffington Post reported.

Finally she tweeted to her supporters: “Thank you for the outpouring of good wishes. Thanks for having so much confidence both in me & that we could work together.”

She also tweeted that her full statement would soon be on her website, and she added: “Please know that is my voice and truth; don't fool with the distortions!”

You can read the thread of her tweets on her website at http://ashleyjudd.com/

And on twitter, https://twitter.com/AshleyJudd.

No word on what family her energy needs to be focused on although if it is one of the famous ones – her sister Wynonna Judd is currently on “Dancing With the Stars” and her mother is Naomi Judd – we’ll read about it soon.

Ashley Judd is now appearing in the White House-in-peril blockbuster “Olympus Has Fallen.” She plays First Lady and Aaron Eckhart, who plays the President, said of his co-star at a junket for the film I attend recently that, “She has a mind like you wouldn’t believe, just like jumping beans. She’s very intellectual and educated and likes to talk about a diverse range of topics.”

Bikram sex scandal, Accused of sexual assault

Bikram sex scandal, Alot of the people who loved yoga utilize the Bikram style of yoga, and now those people are rocked by the Bikram sex scandal hitting the news. The Inquisitr shared the details on March 27 of the allegations made against Bikram Choudhury. A former student is accusing him of discrimination and sexual harrassment, and this is not the first time he has faced accusations related to unsavory behavior.

Sarah Baughn, 28, alleges that Bikram Choudhury, 67, started making unwelcome advances on her in 2005 at a training course. She details in the Bikram sex scandal that he gave her a Rolex watch and started whispering inappropriate comments in her ear. She alleges that the instructor told her he needed someone to give him massages, talk to him and have sex with him. Though Baughn says when she told him she was not interested in him sexually, his demeanor changed.

Baughn alleges that after she turned down Choudhury's advances, he began to humiliate her in front of other students and she feels it impacted her ability to get hired in the field. She also says in the Bikram sex scandal allegations that Choudhury “pinned her against the door” and “sexually assaulted her by kissing her neck, chest, and face, and grinding his penis against her leg.”

The New York Times notes that the Bikram sex scandal lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Baughn apparently believed in what Choudhury was doing with his yoga services, but as he made advances on her, she tried to redirect his attention to his wife. Instead, he continued his aggressive advances and even ordered her to kiss him in front of other trainees.

It is not known if Sarah Baughn ever reported any of these advances to the police or anyone else. Neither Bakrim Choudhury or his wife Rajashree have commented on the Bikram sex scandal lawsuit.

William Bradley "Brad" Pitt is an American actor and film producer. Pitt has received four Academy Award nominations and five Golden Globe Award nominations

Kirsten Caroline Dunst is an American actress, singer and model. She made her film debut in Oedipus Wrecks, However, she's not saying what you'd expect to hear from someone lucky enough to lock lips with the superhot movie star.

"It was just a peck," Dunst tells Bullet magazine when asked about the smooch she had with Pitt in the 1994 movie Interview With the Vampire.

"I remember Brad would watch lots of Real World episodes," she dished. "He had this long hair. He was just a hippie-ish cool dude. Everyone at the time was like, ‘You're so lucky you kissed Brad Pitt,' but I thought it was disgusting. I didn't kiss anyone else until I was 16, I think. I was a late bloomer."

We're sure working with Pitt had its perks though.

Meanwhile, Dunst posed for sexy (and colorful) pics in the mag. The 30-year-old actress looks lovely in bold printed dresses in the other-worldy photo shoot.

FBI Tries to explain UFO memo in vault

FBI UFO memo, The FBI - Federal Bureau of Investigation has broken its silence on the most popular file in its digital vault.

The one-page memo, dated March 22, 1950, was addressed to FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover from Guy Hottel, then head of the FBI's Washington, D.C., field office. It relayed some information from an informant.

"An investigator for the Air Force stated that three so-called flying saucers had been recovered in New Mexico," Hottel writes. "They were described as being circular in shape with raised centers, approximately 50 feet in diameter. Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only 3 feet tall, dressed in metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed fliers and test pilots.”

No further evaluation was attempted, Hottel reports.

The file, released in April 2011 under the Freedom of Information Act, has been viewed nearly a million times, the FBI said, in part because media outlets "erroneously reported that the FBI had posted proof of a UFO crash at Roswell, New Mexico [in 1947] and the recovery of wreckage and alien corpses."

"A bizarre memo that appears to prove that aliens did land in New Mexico prior to 1950 has been published by the FBI," the Daily Mail declared in 2011.

"The Hottel memo does not prove the existence of UFOs," the bureau said in a blog post on its website this week. "It is simply a second- or third-hand claim that we never investigated."

Besides, the FBI notes, the Hottel memo is dated nearly three years after the infamous events in Roswell in July 1947.

"There is no reason to believe the two are connected," the bureau said:

The FBI has only occasionally been involved in investigating reports of UFOs and extraterrestrials. For a few years after the Roswell incident, Director Hoover did order his agents—the request of the Air Force—verify any UFO sightings. That practice ended in July 1950, four months after the Hottel memo, suggesting that our Washington Field Office didn't think enough of that flying saucer story to look into it.

Head Found Linked to Serial Killer

Serial killer head, Nearly 25 years after her severed head was found on a New Jersey golf course, police on Wednesday identified the woman they believe was the first victim of a notorious Long Island serial killer.

New Jersey State Police said Heidi Balch is believed to be the first of 17 women killed by Joel Rifkin during a four-year spree that ended when he was pulled over for a missing license plate in 1993 with a dead women's body in the back of his pickup.

Authorities have long believed the woman whose severed head was found in March 1989 on a golf course in Hopewell Township, near Trenton, was the first woman Rifkin killed. He all but admitted it after his 1993 arrest, when he provided details on where he disposed of her head and legs.

Rifkin was eventually sentenced to more than 200 years in prison for the killings. But Balch's identity remained a mystery for more than two decades.

State Police Det. Sgt. Stephen Urbanski said Balch's parents didn't initially list her as a missing person and because Balch, who worked as a prostitute in New York City, used several aliases and Social Security numbers.

"It's very rare that you have a story like this," Urbanski said. "The first thing is to ID the body, and then you move on with the investigation, you look at acquaintances and things like that. In this one, the answers were there all along, we just had to put them together."

Rifkin had told police he killed a prostitute he'd known as "Susie," Urbanski said. The search led to New York where investigators focused on a prostitute who'd gone by the name Susan Spencer — and about 15 other names. Some of the bogus Social Security numbers she'd used were traced to Ohio and Florida, so Urbanski went to those states to check missing persons reports.

Finally, investigators learned the woman had once used the name Heidi Balch, who had been listed as a missing person in New York by her aunt in 2001. Even that discovery was complicated by the revelation that the last sighting of Balch was in 1995, six years after the remains were found on the golf course. Urbanski said it was later revealed Balch's aunt hadn't actually seen her niece but that someone had mistakenly told her they had seen Heidi.

The big break came earlier this month when Balch's aunt identified her niece from an arrest photo of Susan Spencer. Subsequent DNA tests of Balch's mother and father, who live in Maryland and Florida, respectively, confirmed the identification.

Balch's parents "expressed shock," Urbanski said. "They knew in their hearts something bad had happened to her, but not to this extent. I don't think they ever imagined she was the first victim of Joel Rifkin."

Urbanski said state police are in the process of reviewing cases of unidentified bodies found in New Jersey from the time Balch's remains were found up until Rifkin's arrest.

The Nassau County district attorney's office, which prosecuted Rifkin, did not immediately comment on whether it would consider charging Rifkin with Balch's death.

Topless Scene Regret, Jessica Brown Findlay has spoken about her deepest regret at taking part in a topless scene in the early part of her career.

The British actress was just 22 years old at the time, and now says: "To be honest, Albatross was naivete and not knowing that I could say no … I had no idea what was going to happen and thought I was going to be shot from behind. It's not something I would do again."

She was subsequently cast in two episodes of the E4 program Misfits and in Downton Abbey.

Report: Baby born 15 pounds, 7 ounces

Baby born 15 pounds, 7 ounces, The latest baby named George King is a big baby. How big? George was born 15 pounds, 7 ounces to a couple in England last month.

According to the BBC, Jade and Ryan welcomed George about 6 weeks ago at St. Michael’s Hospital in Bristol. Both parents, as well as doctors, were shocked at George’s size.

As you might expect, the birth wasn’t an easy one and after George was born he struggled to survive. He went five minutes without oxygen and was given a 10% chance of survival.

Jade said: “When his head came out that’s when they realized how big he was. And then his shoulders got stuck, and that’s when everything kicked off, really. There were about 20 doctors in the room. That’s when it got really scary.”

Thankfully, doctors were able to help George along and a month later Jade and Ryan were able to bring their big baby home.

Jade said: “He didn’t fit into any of his newborn clothes. He’s gone straight into 3-6 month clothes.”

Doctors have checked in on George and said that he doesn’t appear to have any major health problems. Jade said that it’s possible that George will struggle with learning new things but said that she was happy that her “little miracle, or big miracle” was home safe.

Here’s a video about the baby born 15 pounds, 7 ounces in England from the BBC.

A 15 pound, 7 ounce baby is definitely a large baby but it isn’t the largest on record. George King beats Chun Chun, a 15.5 pound baby born in China last year, but falls short of the 23 pound 12 ounce baby born in Ohio in 1879. Sadly, the Guinness World Record holder for heaviest baby passed away about 12 hours after being born.

Kris Humphries's Lindsey Vonn stolen by Woods

Kris Humphries's Lindsey Vonn stolen by Woods, the image of Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn smiling from their cheesy Facebook announcement? Imagine Kris Humphries standing next to the striking blonde instead.

It appears via Us Weekly that Kim Kardashian’s estranged husband of 72-days was close to Vonn at the very same time Woods came along.

“Woods wasn’t Vonn’s only suitor,” a confidant of Vonn’s told the mag. “Bachelor No. 2 was none other than Kim Kardashian ex Kris Humphries.”

The source said of the basketballer and the Olympic skier, “They’re both from Minnesota, so they had a lot to talk about” but they never got physical.

Kris Humphries tweeted about his hangout with Lindsey Vonn in June 2012

Whatever their relationship status the fellow athletes do go back. In June 2012, Humphries tweeted, “Hanging with a fellow Minnesotan @lindseyvonn. Gotta get her back on lake minnetonka soon!”

Vonn replied, “I know! Def need to get back!!”

As we all know, Vonn ultimately chose Woods, who has reclaimed his No. 1 in the golfing world.

Dog pack suspected in death of 14-year-old UK girl

Dog pack suspected in death of 14-year-old UK girl. The body of 14-year-old Jade Anderson was found near a friend's house Tuesday in the Great Manchester area of the U.K., covered in wounds consistent with a dog attack.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death, Reuters reports.

Officials have said the teenager was visiting the house in Chaucer Grove, Atherton, near Wigan, and was alone with a pack of dogs, believed to include two bull mastiffs and two Staffordshire bull terriers, reports CBS News partner Sky News in the U.K.

Four animals were shot dead by police and a fifth was contained.

A neighbor, Joshua Thomas, told Reuters he believes she was attacked for the food she was carrying, saying: "She's run to the shop to get a pie, and when she's come back, she's come in with pie and the dogs went for it."

There had been no recent complaints about aggressive dogs in the area, according to Sky News.

However, after the attack, officers said they were confronted by dogs they described as "aggressive" and "out of control."

Norman Bradbury, a local councillor, told Sky News the whole community was in shock.

He said: "We need to establish what occurred with this horrible incident and how it an be avoided in future but we have to wait for the police to investigate what happened, how Jade died and the circumstances."

Strong quake sways buildings in Taiwan

Strong quake sways buildings in Taiwan,

TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) — A strong earthquake struck rural central Taiwan on Wednesday, swaying buildings, sending schoolchildren to seek cover and injuring at least 20 people.

The Central Weather Bureau said the magnitude-6.1 earthquake at 10:03 a.m. local time was felt throughout the island. Buildings swayed in the capital Taipei, and sections of the high-speed rail were suspended from service to be inspected for damage.

The U.S. Geological Survey placed the magnitude at 6.0. The quake's depth was a relatively shallow 9 miles.

Near the epicenter in Nantou County, a section of a ceiling fell from a government office and injured one worker, officials said. All-together, at least 20 people were injured, mostly by fallen objects, the fire department said. A house fire caused by leaking gas was quickly put out, it added.

Nantou government official Chen Min-hui said tiles fell from a few school buildings and minor cracks appeared on walls, but all structures remained intact.

Nantou is a rural county about about 155 miles south of Taipei. It is near the epicenter of a magnitude-7.6 earthquake that killed more than 2,300 people in 1999.

Earthquakes frequently rattle Taiwan, but most are minor and cause little or no damage.

Woods stole Lindsey Vonn from Kris Humphries

Kris Humphries Lindsey Vonn, Tiger Woods reportedly romanced Lindsey Vonn while she was dating Kim Kardashian’s estranged husband Kris Humphries.

The star golfer acknowledged his romance with Olympic skier Lindsey on March 18 after several months of speculation.

The 37-year-old and his 28-year-old girlfriend used simultaneous online announcements to confirm the relationship and posted pictures of themselves together.

“Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating,” Tiger wrote on his website.

According to Us Weekly, the couple became official after Lindsey broke it off with Kris.

“Woods wasn’t Vonn’s only suitor. Bachelor number two was none other than Kim Kardashian ex Kris Humphries,” a source said.

As the magazine reports, both Lindsey and Kris are from Minnesota and were able to bond over their shared careers as athletes. Eventually Tiger won her over.

Kris meanwhile remains tangled in divorce proceedings with Kim despite the reality star being pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Kanye West.

The pair became a couple shortly after the end of her 72-day marriage to Kris.

The basketball star is seeking to annul their marriage which he alleges was a fraud.

Tiger made headlines with his own marital split from ex-wife Elin Nordegren in 2010.

The golfing champion was linked to a slew of women while still married to the Swedish model, with whom he has two children.

Lindsey’s divorce from fellow Olympic skier Thomas Vonn was finalised in January. The couple had been married for over five years.

Topless scene regret

Topless scene regret; Actress Jessica Brown Findlay regrets going topless in 2011 movie Albatross and concedes she was "naive" for agreeing to strip off.

The former Downton Abbey star plays a teenager who has an affair with an older man in the film, and one scene shows her flashing her chest to prove her age.

However, Brown Findlay wishes she had turned down the request to show her breasts, telling the Radio Times, "To be honest, Albatross was naivety and not knowing that I could say no. I had no idea what was going to happen and thought I was going to be shot from behind."

The actress also sheds her clothes in upcoming TV drama Labyrinth, an adaptation of Kate Mosse's best-selling novel, but insists she will never strip off on camera again.

She adds, "I think if you're going to do a nude scene, be honest and natural. Otherwise I'd be starving myself for ever, which I just couldn't do! The idea that actresses would work out at the gym for a thousand hours beforehand... I was drinking pints (of beer) and eating burgers. But actually, it's not something I would do again."

You might think they would be a little sad at missing out on this series of Dancing With The Stars.
But after taking a break from the show professional dancers Anna Trebunskaya, Chelsie Hightower and Louis Van Amstel headed south to Cancun, Mexico.
And they certainly weren't moping.
Instead the three DWTS veterans spent the week together frolicking in the warm waters and posing for impromptu snaps in their skimpy bathing suits.

Julian Clary has spoken of his terror after being set on fire by a school bully for being gay.
The 53-year-old comedian told OK! magazine that he was repeatedly taunted over his sexuality while at school, but was too scared to even tell his parents.
The former Celebrity Big Brother winner said: 'When I was at school, I was given a really hard time. The other boys bullied me.
'On one occasion, a boy set fire to me on a bus. I was wearing a long coat with nylon lining and he set fire to it.
'I was okay. I wasn't burnt. I have no idea (why he did it). I never said anything to him. It was completely unprovoked.'
But Julian was so terrified about losing his place at St Benedict's School in Ealing that he didn't even report the incident to to anybody, or tell his parents.
He added: 'It was a difficult situation as I went to an expensive private school with an excellent reputation, and I was given a free place to study there for passing an exam.
'My parents were so pleased for me, so I didn't say anything. It's difficult to tell somebody you're being bullied for basically being gay, especially when you're 12 or 13.'

Julian also revealed the monks who looked after pupils at his school used to discipline the student by beating them with a cane or cricket bat.
He said: 'I was hit with a cricket bat, which left marks on me. Some of those monks are in prison now for child molestation. I was never molested, though.
'I don't want people to feel sorry for me over any of this. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but these experiences motivated me.
'Being a famous, flamboyant, gay comedian has always subconsciously been my revenge.'

Coronation Street’s Bill Roache warns against ‘celebrity paedophile witch-hunt’…

Coronation Street actor Bill Roache has spoken out to condemn public attacks on celebrities who have been accused of sex crimes.
Speaking on Monday night on a TV show in New Zealand, the actor called for stars to be allowed to keep their identities secret.
The warning from Bill, who plays Ken Barlow on the soap, comes just days after he said sex abuse victims ‘brought it on themselves’ due to actions in their past lives.

In his latest rant the 80-year-old told TV One’s Breakfast show: ‘There’s been a pendulum swing after the Jimmy Savile situation.
‘All I am saying is that if you’re accused you are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty but if you’re a celebrity you’re pilloried.
‘There should be anonymity for both the accuser and the accusee until such time as there is evidence and then it should come out.’

When asked by the presenter if he was sanctioning underage sex, he responded: ‘Of course I don’t sanction that. All I am trying to do is get the balance right.
‘Paedophiles should be routed out, anyone who offends sexually should be dealt with properly in the way the law deals with that.’
Bill is referring to a string of celebrities who have been charged with offences against children since the Jimmy Savile story broke.

These include his Corrie co-star Michael Le Vell and veteran broadcaster Stuart Hall, while Jim Davidson has been arrested over sexual offences claims.
During his appearance on the show, Bill took the opportunity to defend his earlier comments, which have led to backlash.
He said: ‘The trouble is in spiritual matters they are quite complex, if someone understands what you’re saying and puts it in their words, that’s fine.
‘But if someone doesn’t understand what you’re saying and puts it in their own words it’s a distortion and that is what has happened. I don’t want to upset anyone.

‘I’m in a little group and we talk about love and love is totally forgiving. To have all these awful accusations is upsetting.’
At the time his comments drew stinging criticism from the National Association for People Abused in Childhood, which called them an insult to abuse victims.
Dr Jon Bird, from Napac, condemned Roache’s ‘hippy-dippy’ spiritualist beliefs, saying child sex abuse left people with horrific physical and mental scars.
The NSPCC described the actor’s comments as ‘bizarre’ and ‘not helpful’.
Jon Brown, head of the NSPCC’s sexual abuse programme, said: ‘We should be concentrating on helping the thousands of children sexually abused every year who need therapy to re-build their lives.’
The actor is currently in New Zealand taking part in a Coronation Street stage show, which is where he made his previous offensive comments.

Gordon Ramsay destroyed my business': One chef reveals his REAL Kitchen

Foul-mouthed chef Gordon Ramsay has been accused of turning one chef's business into a real kitchen nightmare after featuring on his show.
John Chapman of Chappy’s New Orlean’s-style Cajun restaurant has accused the Michelin-stared chef of destroying his business after opening the doors to his business to Ramsay on the US version of Kitchen Nightmares.
John Chapman, who owns Chappy's New Orlean’s-style Cajun restaurant, said: 'It was truly a kitchen nightmare for me. Gordon Ramsay destroyed by business. It was a confrontation from the get-go.'

Speaking to the National Enquirer the chef said he was furious with the father-of-three.
The expletive-ridden show, which airs on US network Fox, follows the chef as he turns around failing restaurants.
Gordon and his team often overhaul the menu, the decor and even the staff.
Fiery Gordon has become a hit in the US after his shows, Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares were syndicated to Fox.

His job as the host of Hell's Kitchen, MasterChef and Kitchen Nightmares, pays him an estimated £9.4m per year.
Recently Gordon hit out at fellow chef Jamie Oliver for trying to tackle healthy eating in the US.
He said: 'You have to be very careful when you go across the pond and want to dictate to Americans about healthy eating. .. If you're not in that best shape yourself then you have to be very careful.'
His latest American series Hotel Hell will air on Channel 4 this year.

High-standards chef Gordon trawls round hotels across America inspecting rooms and restaurants.
He told The Sun: ''The most horrifying thing across the board was the f**king honeymoon suite. It was like a bloody house of horror, I swear to God.
'I just didn’t think it could shoot that far — I’m talking about if you shake a can of Coke and open it.
'I mean shocking. Really shocking. Then I got the owner and every guest in that hotel to come in my room and put a pair of glasses on.'

MailOnline has contacted Gordon for a comment.
A Kitchen Nightmares spokesman said: 'The mission of Kitchen Nightmares is to help struggling restaurants succeed.
'Gordon Ramsay is the owner of 27 restaurants and holds 11 Michelin stars. He is eminently qualified to offer solutions and tools to help turn failing restaurants around.
'In every case, restaurant owners choose to participate in Kitchen Nightmares to receive the benefit of Gordon Ramsay's expertise.
'In the case of Chappy's, a fledgling restaurant in Nashville, Gordon suggested extensive revisions to the menu, updated the d├ęcor and offered his expertise and advice to the management and staff.
'It was their decision -- as it is with all participating restaurants on the show -- whether to take his advice.  Mr. Ramsay and the show producers always wish the participating restaurant owners much success.'
