Lil Wayne was hospitalized yet again and this time too for a seizure, reported People on May 1. The 30-year-old rapper suffered another seizure. He was admitted to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, treated and then released.
Once again, Weezy assured his fans, via Twitter, that he's okay. "I'm fine. Thank u," he tweeted. Examiner reports
Some of his fans may not feel the "Lollipop" artist is "fine." They all know that this particular seizure is not Lil Wayne's first. Just last month, for example, Weezy was taken into Cedars-Sinai hospital with the same condition. Last October he suffered a seizure on his private plane, and then he had another seizure on another flight. At the time his rep claimed the seizures were due to "severe migraines and dehydration." However, later the rapper admitted he was on seizure medication.
Some speculate that the seizures are due to the rapper's habit of drinking Sizzurp or Purple Drank. It is a mixture of vodka, soda and cough medicine typically consumed in a Styrofoam cup, and it is highly addictive. "It ain't that easy — feels like death in your stomach when you stop doing that sh--. You gotta learn how to stop, you gotta go through detox. You gotta do all kinds of stuff," said Lil Wayne to MTV in 2008.
