He's one of the coolest acting legends in Hollywood, clocking up decades in the industry. But
unfortunately for Harrison Ford, that doesn't mean that he's exempt
from driving laws, as he was spotted chatting on his mobile phone while
driving through Brentwood, Los Angeles on Saturday.
The Blade Runner star, 70, seemed oblivious of the state's rules of the road as he whizzed through town in his $150,000 1955 Jaguar XK 140.
California law states that it is illegal to chat on a hand-held phone while driving, and generally incurs a hefty fine.
But The Fugitive actor seemed to think that he could hold his iPhone in front of his face and speak into it while he sped along, perhaps not fully understanding the rules.
Harrison was hardly keeping a low profile in the stand-out vintage car, looking as cool as ever in a pair of dark sunglasses as he zoomed off.
The actor, who is rumoured to be
starring in a new Star Wars film and the next Indiana Jones flick, was
spotted unloading his private jet earlier in the day after touching down
in California.
He was joined by wife Calista Flockhart, who helped him to unpack a number of large boxes after their whirlwind trip out of Santa Monica.
Just the day before, the actor had been seen boarding the plane, clearly off on an overnight trip and arriving home laden down with goodies.
Harrison has been hard at work recently, shooting scenes for the Anchorman sequel in New Orleans and promoting new film 42.
He's also expected to start the promo tours for Paranoia and sci-fi film Ender's Game this year, but is staying tight-lipped about his return to the Star Wars franchise.
The father-of-five recently admitted that he still loves acting and isn't planning to retire any time soon.
'I love being with the
people who make movies,' he said at a recent press conference. 'I like
the problem solving aspect of filmmaking.
'I like the emotional and intellectual exercise I get from it. It’s my utility in life. So my ambition is to continue to be useful.'
Speaking about his marriage to Calista, who is 22 years his junior, he said: 'Keeping up with me is fairly easy. Putting up with me is a little bit more difficult.'
