WrestleMania burns, With the WWE WrestleMania 29 results from Sunday night, Triple H was victorious, while The Rock was not. While Triple H saved his career, The Rock could not save his current WWE title reign, and dropped the championship to John Cena. However, one thing both "The Game" and "The People's Champ" shared in common from the results was that both men sustained injuries from the Pay-Per-View event.
According to Wrestling Inc, Triple H sustained a burn injury ahead of his match with Brock Lesnar. Apparently, HHH's entrance included dry ice on the stage which stuck to him during his entrance. The Game tweeted today about it with an included picture of his burns, saying:
"For those wondering…Stuff stuck to me at mania was dry ice. Gave me 2nd degree burns on torso & arms."
The other big news was regarding The Rock's injury suffered during his main event championship match with John Cena on Sunday. Rock apparently tore his abdominal muscle, a serious injury which kept him from appearing on Monday's Raw in a major story angle. Apparently Rock was going to be attacked by Brock Lesnar, setting up a match between the two stars for WrestleMania 30 next year. Now it appears that plan may not happen.
Wrestling Inc reported via F4WOnline about Rock's injury saying his muscle was "completely torn off the pelvis" and that the injury may require surgery. The site goes on to speculate that surgery would postpone filming for Rock's next big movie, "Hercules," and could put his future with the WWE in doubt. With the millions, and millions, that The Rock makes filming Hollywood movies, he'll likely want to preserve that career at all costs.
With Triple H's situation, he doesn't appear as a wrestler on a regular basis either. Although his injury doesn't seem as "career-threatening" as Rock's does at this point, the burns certainly look painful, and probably added to the damage he took from Brock Lesnar during their "No Holds Barred" match. Hopefully for the sake of fans, both The Game and The Rock will be back in a wrestling ring at some point in the future for WrestleMania matches, at the very least.
