Wise choice! Rosie Huntington-Whiteley attends Vogue dinner thrown in honour of fashion designer Michael Kors.
Being
invited to a fashion dinner must be nerve-wracking in itself, but when
it's thrown in honour of a designer, making the right wardrobe choice
becomes even more vital.
Which might be why Rosie Huntington-Whiteley played it safe when she went to a dinner celebrating American designer Michael Kors.
The 23-year old Devon-born model wore one of his own creations to the exclusive event at London's Cafe Royal.
The dinner was thrown by Vogue Magazine, with editor Alexandra Shulman on hosting duties.
Rosie looked beautiful in the strapless gown, which features a sweetheart neckline, black bust and yellow leaf-patterned skirt.
The flattering dress retails for over £1,300, so Rosie must have felt somewhere on the way to a million bucks.
She showed off her golden tan and long legs in a pair of white stilettos, and amazingly they did not cheapen the look.
Rosie, girlfriend of action hunk Jason Statham, wore her hair in loose curls and kept her make-up simple.
It was possible to see the faintest glitter upon her chest and hands as her delicate jewellery caught the flash of the paparazzi's bulbs.
As well as posing on her own for photographers, she also stood proudly next to the American designer and couldn't help but break in to a smile.
Later she tweeted: 'Thank you @michaelkors for a lovely evening.'
And for anyone who has thought it
somewhat ironic that the fashion industry love to throw lavish dinners
for people who are constantly dieting, a photo Rosie tweeted will be of
interest.
She posted a photo on her Instagram page that showed a card informing her that 'Michael Kors has donated 100 meals to the world food programme on your behalf' - a charitible gesture by anyone's standards.
Earlier, Michael had told his own Twitter fans that he felt like he had stepped in to a time machine.
'Cocktails at the Grill Room at Café Royal—it's like I've stepped back in time,' he wrote.
Other people enjoying the
hospitality at the upmarket locale included Les Miserables star Samantha
Jane Barks, 22, who cut a slim figure in black leggings.
Daisy Lowe looked divine in a lace and nude dress which teased the imagination and flattered her figure perfectly.
Her dark hair cascaded over one shoulder, and the combination of her scarlet lipstick and alabaster skin gave her a sort of Snow White look.
Model Laura Bailey looked part 1960s part angel in an ethereal white sequinned shift dress and matching white watch.
Her dirty blonde hair was teased in to a messy ponytail, which she flicked over one shoulder.
David Gandy was also seen arriving at the event looking handsome in a navy blue suit.
Yasmin Le Bon was also at the event, unsurprising considering she is Kors' muse.
He opened up to about their special relationship, and revealed what happened the first time they met.
He said: 'When I first saw Yasmin Le Bon, I thought she was really, really fabulous looking.
'I was so intrigued by her looks that I asked the editor of New York Magazine at the time, 'Who is this girl?' And she replied, 'Yasmin Parvaneh.' And I said, 'She's fabulous.''
Another familiar face was Jacquetta Wheeler, 31, who wore an unusual purple and black houndstooth smock to the event.
Her mousy brown hair was pulled in to a ponytail, and she wore a pair of open toed sandals, revealing pink toe nails.
