Emma Stone is a hot property in Hollywood commanding leading roles in some of this year's biggest movies.
But the 24-year-old appeared uncharacteristically tattered in New York, on Wednesday, as she shot a scene in her upcoming film Birdman.
The actress sported various articles of torn clothing for the scripted scenario in a flower shop, clearly dressed in character for her day of shooting.

The actress' grey T-shirt was riddled with rips and tears surrounding her flat tummy.

Completing her costume was an army green jacket, featuring shoulder lapels and brown buttons.
Her normally darker hued locks were dyed blonde for the shoot, nicely complimenting her stunning blue eyes.

The glamorous Gangster Squad bombshell appeared to be quite the character on set, adopting various coy expressions for the cameras.
The fresh-faced actress even feigned anger as she messed about with floral arrangements in the street side shop.
But the actress soon regained her composure by pressing her palms together in a show of respect.

The prayerful gesture revealed a latch key design on her right forearm as she lowered her gaze during the inward moment.

The Help star donned the shabby chic attire for her role in Birdman, co-starring Michael Keaton as her father.
The movie depicts Michael, who played Batman in the 1989 and 1992 Tim Burton movies, as a comic book movie star trying to regain his credibility.
Emma's character becomes her father's assistant after completing a stay at rehab. 
The film is set for release in 2014.
