We all make mistakes and are told 'you're only human' when things go wrong.
But this truck driver's decision to plough through a tunnel that was considerably too low for his vehicle to fit into takes the idea of human error to a baffling new level.
The driver of a 10ft 7ins tall lorry tried to squeeze through the opening of a tunnel- with a maximum height of 9ft in Rainham, Kent.
Police were called to the scene today and the driver who was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with a facial injury.

Physically impossible: No matter what the driver did, his fate was sealed when he entered the tunnel that is designed for a much shorter vehicle
Torn apart: The lorry is in tatters with the roof and back section lying in the road behind and the body of the vehicle stuck in the tunnel
The incident gives new meaning to the phrase 'stuck between a rock and a hard place'. An onlooker said 'I'm not even sure how the driver can get out of his cab.'
The roof and back section of the vehicle was ripped apart and left behind on the road as the remainder of the lorry came to a halt inside the tunnel.
The low tunnel is signposted with height restrictions and is on a narrow road.

Emergency services were called to the scene and the road was closed while the lorry was removed by the Fire Brigade.
