She arrived on the red carpet looking pretty as a picture in a demure strapless red and white floral floor length gown.
But hours later, Carrie Underwood adopted a completely different look as she took the stage at the Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday.
The 30-year-old singer sported a sexy black lace mini dress, complete with matching gloves and her hair loose over one shoulder as she performed her song Two Black Cadillacs.

The blonde singer cut a striking performer as she performed in front of two vintage models of the car amid clouds of dry ice.
The singer then changed again to a stunning blush mini dress with jeweled embellishment.
The star donned the one shouldered dress to perform with Brad Paisley. Brad also played with John Mayer.

Taylor Swift also swapped her ensemble, from a stunning metallic embellished dress to a beaded black gown as she took to the stage alongside Keith Urban and Tim McGraw.
The iconic country music trio performed Highway Don't Care with Urban taking on guitar duties.
However, Swift left the show empty handed despite being nominated in five categories and the huge success of her platinum selling album Red last year.

Along with her fourth straight female vocalist of the year win and another win for Best Single, Lambert was secure as the night's most honoured star .
'As a songwriter, having your song and your lyrics recognised by your peers is pretty much as good as it gets,' Miranda said in her acceptance speech.
'And I'm so thankful for being in this genre of country music, every single time someone's nominated, I just cheer, because I love everybody to death.
'So thank you for accepting me as a song writer, not just as a singer, because that means the world to me.'

Eric Church won two awards, including album of the year, and was tied with Jason Aldean, Little Big Town and Florida Georgia Line in overall win total.
Church, this year's most decorated nominee, also won vocal event of the year for his efforts with Aldean and Luke Bryan for their collaboration on The Only Way I Know.
He also performed his sombre but powerful song Like Jesus Does with only an acoustic guitar and a backup singer.

Aldean, country's top-selling male act, won male vocalist of the year, while  Little Big Town had wins for vocal group and video of the year.
Florida Georgia Line won for new artist and were previous winners in the new vocal duo/group category.

Shawna Thompson gave a shout out to her mother from stage and later tearfully explained she wanted to acknowledge her mother as her father just passed away.

The night was full of colourful performances, but the anticipation of Garth Brooks and George Strait performing together overshadowed almost everything else.
They are two of Country music's biggest selling artists but had never performed together previously. 
The two paid tribute to the late Dick Clark, the executive producer of the show since 1979 who passed away a year ago.
Brooks appeared on stage in flannel shirt and black cowboy hat with a Fu Manchu to perform his hit The Dance before Strait joined him for The Cowboy Rides Away.

He was joined by Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley, Sheryl Crow and Pistol Annies, a trio that includes his wife Miranda Lambert.
She joined Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley in racy leather, black and lace outfits for the number.
Crow looked equally striking in a tight gold mini dress, after arriving in a strapless navy blue pant suit.
