Lorraine Crosby may not be a recognisable name, but her voice certainly is.
The singer-songwriter from North East England famously sang the female part on Meat Loaf's 1993 hit single I'd Do Anything for Love.
On Saturday night she auditioned on The Voice UK with the hopes of turning the chair around of one of the mentors, but sadly, they wouldn't do that.
Lorraine, 52, sang Gladys Knight & The Pips
classic song A Midnight Train To Georgia, and while Jessie J, Danny
O'Donoghue, will.i.am and Tom Jones seemed to enjoy the gritty
performance, they remained with their backs turned.
Once the performance came to an end, the judges were shocked to learn that she was the famous voice from one of Meatloaf's most memorable songs.
In the music video for the '90s single, a model mimed the lyrics to Lorraine's vocals, meaning the Newcastle-born singer's contribution went universally unacknowledged.
And that was her reasoning for entering the competition, telling the judges, 'I came on because I wasn't in the video.'
Jessie said: 'You've got a great voice, even when you growled, I liked it but I wanted you to do a riff on the end of a sentence to make it your sound, but you didn't do it.'
However she wasn't the only diva-like singer to fail to secure a place in the next round.
Sadly the 52-year old's fiery version did not impress any of the judges.
Hailing from the U.S., Kym famously sung on Soul II Soul's single Missing You, and also featured in Baz Luhrmann's 1996 film, William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet, performing a cover of Young Hearts Run Free by Candi Staton.
But while the divas of the past
failed to make the cut, a diverse range of singers for the future
impressed the judges to no end.
Will was picked by Liam Tamne as his mentor, who will join Leanne Jarvis and Matt Henry on the Hip Hop artist's team.
Team Jessie saw the addition of two more boys with Alex Buchanan and Trevor Francis picking the Price Tag singer as their mentor.
She now has five acts, including Ash Morgan, Danny County and Katie Benbow.
Tom added the most new acts to his team on Saturday night, picking country-music hopeful Emma Jade Garbutt as well as two fellow Welsh warblers.
Ragsy, and past blind audition contestant Alys Williams both chose their hometown hero to take them through to the next round.
Danny O'Donoghue invited duo
Smith and Jones (Katie Smith and Harry Jones) to his team, a couple of
19-year old singers who are together off the stage as well as on.
The Script singer also welcomed 34-year old Nadeem Leigh to his team.
Sadly for young singers Nick Dixon and Sam Hollyman, they too failed to make the grade this year.
The blind auditions continues next Saturday, April 13th at 7pm on BBC One.
