Lorraine Crosby may not be a recognisable name, but her voice certainly is.
The singer-songwriter from North East England famously sang the female part on Meat Loaf's 1993 hit single I'd Do Anything for Love.
On Saturday night she auditioned on The Voice UK with the hopes of turning the chair around of one of the mentors, but sadly, they wouldn't do that.
Once
the performance came to an end, the judges were shocked to learn that
she was the famous voice from one of Meatloaf's most memorable songs.
In the music video for the '90s single, a model mimed the lyrics to Lorraine's vocals, meaning the Newcastle-born singer's contribution went universally unacknowledged.

enjoy commercial success herself

They wouldn't do that! Lorraine Crosby fails to get through to the next round of The Voice UK
Lorraine, 52, sang Gladys Knight & The Pips
classic song A Midnight Train To Georgia, and while Jessie J, Danny
O'Donoghue, will.i.am and Tom Jones seemed to enjoy the gritty
performance, they remained with their backs turned. In the music video for the '90s single, a model mimed the lyrics to Lorraine's vocals, meaning the Newcastle-born singer's contribution went universally unacknowledged.
Still
happy! Lorraine punched the air after her performance, feeling good to
perform to those in the audience and millions at home
Jessie said: 'You've got a great voice, even when you growled, I liked it but I wanted you to do a riff on the end of a sentence to make it your sound, but you didn't do it.'
However she wasn't the only diva-like singer to fail to secure a place in the next round.
I know that voice? Will.i.am, Jessie J and Tom Jones looked intrigued by Lorraine's voice
A midnight train home: None of the judges took a risk on Lorraine
And that was her reasoning for entering the competition, telling the judges, 'I came on because I wasn't in the video.'Jessie said: 'You've got a great voice, even when you growled, I liked it but I wanted you to do a riff on the end of a sentence to make it your sound, but you didn't do it.'

Not tonight: Kym Mazelle's performance of Ring Of Fire didn't entice any of the judges
Bringing
the eighties back: Kym enjoyed little solo success but did cover Candi
Staton's Young Hearts Run Free for Baz Luhrmann's 1996 film William
Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet
Described as the 'first lady of house music', Kym Mazelle strutted on to The Voice UK and belted out a soulful rendition of June Carter-Cash's Ring Of Fire.
Sadly the 52-year old's fiery version did not impress any of the judges.
Hailing from the U.S., Kym famously sung on Soul II Soul's single Missing You, and also featured inBaz Luhrmann's 1996 film, William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet, performing a cover of Young Hearts Run Free by Candi Staton.

his team, a couple of 19-year old singers who are together off the
stage as well as on.The Script singer also welcomed 34-year old Nadeem Leigh to his team.
