To appear on The Late Show With David Letterman, the 26-year-old Transformers star polished up, looking sharp in a sleek navy suit.
And he didn't let a little ankle injury stop him, as he was snapped power walking across the pavement, flashing an 'okay' symbol to let everyone know that he is doing just fine.

Before heading into the studio, he even took some time to appreciate his fans who came out to support him.Balancing in a grey medical boot and black loafer, Shia stopped to sign autographics for adoring fans who had lined up to meet the Hollywood star.
As he used a blue permanent marker to brand paper, other onlookers took out their smart phones to capture the scruffy, bearded star in action.

The actor has recently been bulking up, frequently visiting the gym for gruelling workouts such as kick boxing sessions.Until a couple weeks ago, Shia had been training hard with WBO Middleweight Champion boxer Peter Quillian and had even flashed his newly defined abs for a photo with the champ.

However, the actor has since damaged his ankle and been forced to take things a bit easier while wearing the boot.The 26-year-old's medical boot has though somewhat inspired him, as Shia has taken to snapping photographs of his boot around New York.
On March 18, the Indian Jones star posted his first picture of his injury. Shia posted a picture on his twitter wearing just a basic strap at the time saying, 'Unbeknownst to most, Einstein started down the road of pro-basketball before an ankle injury diverted him to science.'
The actor then posted two more pictures of his now booted foot along side the feet of people dressed up as cartoon characters including Minnie Mouse and the Cookie Monster.
Shia's new fitness kick seems to be just for the star's own amusement as he does not have any upcoming roles in the works.
The actor's 2012 filmed movie, The Company That You Keep - a thriller centred on a former Weather Underground activist who goes on the run from a journalist who has discovered his identity, which also stars Robert Redford - is to be released in June.

rumours of friction between the actors emerged, culminating in LaBeouf's
withdrawal from the project.Besides getting fit, the actor has also spent his new found free time creating a comic book that he posted online late Monday.
Based around his early life, the comic may raise a few eyebrows as the star claims through the images that he was discriminated against for being white.

Later in the day the actor attended the New York premiere of The Company You Keep at the Museum of Modern Art on Monday.
Dressed in the same blue suit he wore earlier in the day Shia cut a very stylish figure as he posed for pictures.

The film is a political action thriller which is produced and directed by Robert Redford, who also takes the lead in the film.
