If rock-and-roll-coupledom's King and Queen are living apart and the Queen is running around without her ring, does that mean an Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne divorce is inevitable? Or are the pair simply undergoing home renovations, perhaps to fix fire damage? Get Ozzy's official word on the matter below, and leave your comments at the bottom of this page.
Osbourne Split Rumors Grow Legs: Sharon and Ozzy Headed for Divorce?
TMZ recently reported that although an Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne divorce wasn't exactly looming, the two were living apart. The gossip website cited "multiple sources" in their claims that the Osbourne split rumors were true, though the report seemed to be simultaneously reassuring fans of the couple that, for now, with more than three decades of marriage and three biological children between them, "there are no plans for divorce."
TMZ claims Sharon has been staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel, while the New York Daily News has shared photos of Mrs. O moving into new digs of her own. According to TMZ, Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne has been staying at a no-doubt well-appointed Beverly Hills rental home during the couple's alleged time-out. The two have reportedly not seen much of each other while living apart, not even dining together, and one British source claims frequent "rows" (fights here in America) are to blame for the demise of their high-profile marriage.
Ozzy and Sharon's 27-year-old son Jack, who has recently wed, faced difficult health challenges and even become a father to daughter Pearl, called the so-called split "bulls--t" on Twitter on April 14. As far as we can determine, no one else in the family has addressed the rumors directly as of press time.
Edit: Ozzy Osbourne has now addressed the split rumors himself via his Facebook page (April 15), and made this humble admission:
"For the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs. I was in a very dark place and was an a--hole to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober. Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing. I’m just trying to be a better person.
I would like to apologize to Sharon, my family, my friends and my band mates for my insane behavior during this period………and my fans."
