A man in western Pennsylvania was shot to death after reportedly brandishing a wooden club in an attack on the owners of a Pittsburgh-area music store, police say.
Police Chief John Mackey told reporters that Andrew Michael Moore, 32, entered Armen's House of Music in Bethel Park shortly before noon Saturday but left after two or three minutes.
Mackey said he went outside to his car and then returned carrying the club, which the chief said he used to strike the wife of the store owner.

Silvia Armen said her husband, Alfred Armen, came to her rescue when the intruder attacked her, WPXI reports.
Mackey said that Mr Armen and Mr Moore the struggled briefly before the owner pulled a revolver and shot and killed the attacker.
The store owner and his wife were taken to UPMC Mercy for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Police said they are expected to recover.

Mackey said robbery appeared not to be the motive, and he didn't know whether the owners knew the man, whose name was not immediately released.
Police and county homicide detectives are investigating.
The medical examiner's office said its crew had not yet returned from the scene.
The store in Bethel Park, about five miles south of Pittsburgh, sells musical instruments and offers music lessons, according to its Facebook page.
