Mel B booed by America's Got Talent audience after hitting

Mel B has apparently been booed for the second time as a judge on America's Got Talent.
The former Spice Girls star was reported to have disapproved of an arguably racist joke by a contestant at the New York City auditions, on Tuesday.
After hitting the red buzzer the 37-year-old was scorned by the live audience, who appeared to have enjoyed the provocative quip.

According to TMZ a comedian auditioning for the show opened his set with a caricatured racial stereotype.

The punchline of the joke involved a half-serious observation about African American taxi drivers being 'more entertaining than other taxi drivers'.
Mel explained her disapproval: 'I found it really offensive.
'There was no need to do a stereotypical black joke. It was not funny.'
But the audience apparently felt otherwise.

Fellow AGT judge Howie Mandel cut in to ask the crowd attending the auditions if they thought the joke was inappropriate.
The audience responded with a resounding 'no'.

And the disdain for Mel was nearly universal as Howard Stern chimed in to tell the former Scary Spice that she 'lacked a sense of humor'.
Even Heidi Klum offered her own take on the now controversial jape: 'There will always be jokes made about being black and white ... I agree with you that we should laugh about it.'

But this is not the first time Mel has gotten on the audience's bad side.
She was booed less than a month ago as the show made a stop in New Orleans for auditions.

But Mel later dismissed the negative reaction to her comments, telling Mario Lopez on Extra: 'We all get booed.

'If you say no or you don't like it, everybody jumps on you.'
