She's built her career on making fun of the biggest names in Hollywood.
But is Joan Rivers taking it too far in her feud with Adele?
The Fashion Police host has once again called out the Skyfall singer for her weight, this time in a video posted on Huff Post Live on Friday.
Of meeting the British songstress for the first time on the red-carpet at the Oscars, Joan stretched out her arms in order to describe Adele's size and used her recent throat surgery as the butt of a joke.
'She was very scared because she sang at the awards,' Rivers explained. '(She said) "My throat, my throat, I don’t know if I can swallow!"
'I said, "Oh, yeah — you can swallow!"'
Huff
Post Live host Marc Lamont Hill stepped up in Adele's defense to say
that the comment was 'mean,' but that didn't stop Joan from taking a
chuckle and reviving her diatribe.
'It's not mean!' she defended.
'She's a chubby lady who's very, very rich, and she should just calm down - or lose weight!' she said.
Joan
said that after the comment Adele's team called her to ask for an
apology, but the comedienne had her own thought about that.
'I took an ad out on her ass,' she offered - finally getting a laugh in from Marc.
'It said, ''you are not fat'' - but then I had room for other ads.'
Joking aside, the petite funnywoman still has praise for the Rolling in the Deep singer.
'Adele is beautiful and successful,' she said, 'but let's face reality: she's fat.'
But just moments later Joan was back to her normal self, joking when Marc said he is paid in 'chickens' that he could sell them to Adele.
'You know you'll have a market for it.'
Celebrity
bashing is somewhat of a trademark for the 79-year-old, having built
her career on her no-holds barred opinion of Hollywood and her own
Jewish heritage.
Joan's dry humour has even taken over Twitter, where her frequent posts poke fun at the latest household name or trending topic.
'Last week, Madonna said she wanted to become a Boy Scout, but they wouldn't let her join. That's because the cut-off age is 18, not 81,' she wrote on Thursday, days after the Like A Virgin singer showed up to a New York City event dressed as a Boy Scout.

Wise crack? Rivers told Letterman that Adele should 'add fried chicken' to the title of her hit song Rolling In The Deep
And on the girl everyone loves to hate, Taylor Swift, Joan joked about her tendency to date the subjects of her hit tunes.
'Steven Tyler wants to record a song with Taylor Swift. Taylor's game, but first needs to date and dump him for lyrical inspiration.'
She even took a hit at the new Pope, despite her Jewish faith.
'Rumor? Pope Francis was seen in St. Peter's Square wearing a T-shirt that said "I went to Vatican City and all I got was the papacy,"' she said.
