But Beverley Mitchell was truly on cloud nine after welcoming angelic daughter Kenzie Lynne in Santa Monica last Thursday.

According to People, the newborn of the 32-year-old actress and her accountant husband Michael Cameron measured 18 and a half inches and weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces.

'We have fallen instantly in love and can’t wait to be the best parents we can to our beautiful little angel,' the new mother told the magazine.

'Thank you for all the love and well wishes. Mom, Kenzie, and Dad are settling in perfectly!'

In the weeks leading up to Kenzie's arrival, Beverley blogged all about her first pregnancy and how the long-time couple were preparing their home.

'Throughout this entire process, I have fallen more deeply in love with my husband,' the country singer wrote.

'Michael has not only been my rock, my champion, my hero, he has also been the most incredible man I could have ever asked for.'

The new parents, who met at a college party in 2000, recently attended the wedding of Beverley's good friend Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake.

'Jess was one of the first to know [the baby news]. I started crying,' Mitchell said. 'It was really exciting to share that with Auntie Jess.'

Biel won't be the only proud celebrity aunt to little Kenzie, as the Saw 2 star has many pregnant close friends right now.

Beverley told Us Weekly: 'I'm actually the first one out of my closest friends to have a baby, but I've got a few right behind me: JoAnna Garcia, Jenna Dewan, Jamie-Lynn Sigler.

'Hopefully I'll have a lot of tips for them. They'll see how I get along and then we'll figure it out.'

The former cheerleader finished the fifth and final season of her ABC Family series The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
