A razor-wielding fan arrested for stalking actor Hugh Jackman became obsessed with him after seeing one of the X-Men movies and was intent on marrying him, it has been revealed.
Jackman, who's handled Magneto and Sabretooth onscreen without breaking a sweat, was left shaken by the encounter at his New York City gym with 47-year-old Kathleen Thurston.
The Aussie star was entering Gotham Gym in the West Village on Saturday when he was approached by Thurston, of Bakersfield, California, who reportedly asked him: 'We're getting married, right?'

Though the woman was eventually stopped by a gym employee, she reached into her waistband and grabbed an electric razor full of her pubic hair, according to reports.
When asked why she was carrying the razor around, Thurston told officers: 'I hated him having those whiskers,' according to the New York Post.

Kalianna told the paper that her mother was arrested during her second trip in a year to track down Jackman.
When she traveled to New York, Thurston would reportedly stay at the Weston Transitional Living Shelter in Harlem.
A source at the shelter told the Post that she sported an engagement ring, and told others: 'She told me she's going to stay with his wife and him and that the wife doesn't mind."'
Over the weekend, Jackman showed that he is not the type of man to be scared off the streets.
The 44-year-old headed out in New York as usual on Sunday, a day after the bizarre incident.
