It soon spread to a Something Awful Forum thread named 'Photoshop Arms Onto Birds! ...Seriously', created six months later.
After that it spread to subversive imageboard 4chan, subsequent Something Awful threads, and even hatched its own breed of Tumblr blogs, like the one where these images were found.
