Hey mom, hands off! Elizabeth Banks hitches a ride on son Felix's scooter

Elizabeth Banks was chasing after two-year-old son, Felix, as she took him out for a spin on his scooter.
The Hunger Games actress, 39, was seen out with her toddler in Brooklyn on Tuesday as they made the most of the Spring sunshine for a scoot around the streets.

Dressed casually in blue jeans and a black sweater, the actress looked effortlessly chic as she carefully guided her son around New York in a laid back outfit.

Perhaps trying to appear a little incognito, Banks donned a charcoal cap and hid behind large sunglasses as she kept a watchful eye on her son.

She rounded off her look with a pair of well-worn trainers and wrapped a scarf loosely around her neck.
The pair looked like they were having a lot of fun as they practised with the scooter, with caring mum Elizabeth giving a helping hand to steady the youngster as he got to grips with the micro vehicle.

Felix is the eldest of two sons that Elizabeth has with her husband, Max Handelman. They welcomed a second son, Magnus Mitchell, in November last year. Both children were born via surrogate.

Banks will reprise her role of (the much more elaborately dressed) Effie Trinket in the hotly anticipated Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire.
The film will see her reunited with recent Oscar winning actress, Jennifer Lawrence, as they deal with the consequences of the events from the first film, and face new challenges in the post-apocalyptic sci-fi drama.
'I always saw her as a very three-dimensional, very unique character, even in the book she can be written off as sort of comic relief,' she said of her character last year. 'The challenges for me were how to make her theatrical and larger than life but also fit into the tone of this movie, which is very serious.'
The Hunger Games Catching Fire is due for release on November 22
