Fans have been treated to another sneak peek of the highly anticipated movie, The Hangover Part III.
A new poster has been released which shows a terrifying John Goodman leaning over a tied-up Zach Galifianakis in the desert.
Details of Goodman's part remain a closely guarded secret, but he joins Ken Jeong as one of the key villains in the third installment of the franchise.
Goodman, best know for playing
the affable Dan Conner on the hit 1990s television series Roseanne,
recently voiced a character in the movie ParaNorman and also starred in
Ben Affleck’s Oscar-winning film Argo.
A second poster released on Tuesday shows Jeong, who plays the notorious Mr Chow, parachuting onto the Vegas strip in a promise of yet more trouble.
The comedy - starring Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, and Ed Helms and Justin Bartha - sees the 'Wolfpack' embark on another road trip after the death of Alan's father, played by Jeffrey Tambor.
Heather Graham also returns, and Melissa McCarthy joins the cast for its last hurrah.
The latest trailer kicks off with the pals in attendance at the funeral of Sid Garner (Tambor).
But it's not long before things descend into chaos as per usual for the foursome of friends.
The trailer shows them being chased through the desert by men in pig masks, dodging bullets, and making a return to the scene of many of their crimes - Las Vegas.
As they arrive in Sin City, Stu (Helms) says: 'I told myself I would never come back.'
Stu
is later seen being scolded by Alan (Galifanakis) as they stand in the
desert, and Alan tells him: 'We’ve been on a lot of adventures together.
But it seems like you haven’t learned anything. Anything! I’ll be in
the limo.'
Unsurprisingly, it is Alan's character who appears to be causing the most trouble - and looks set to draw in plenty of laughs with his slapstick comedy antics, which include stripping off.
At one point, he is seen driving down the freeway with a giraffe in a pen on a trailer attached to his car.
Turning to a child in a neighbouring vehicle, he shouts: 'My name is Alan and I bought a giraffe.'
Sadly, it appears that things don't end so well for the animal after Alan drives under a bridge.
The Hangover Part III's plot is slated to be based upon a road trip rather than a wedding or a bachelor party.
'This time, there’s no wedding. No
bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits
the road, all bets are off,' a press release from late last year stated.
Zach has previously claimed the plot would focus on his character Alan being smuggled out of a mental institution by his Wolfpack pals.
Meanwhile, a promotional poster for the film has also been released, spoofing the poster for the final Harry Potter film, including using the same words in the form of 'It all ends'.
But instead of Harry and Voldemort coming face to face, Alan and Chow are seen staring each other down with Vegas in flames in the background.
Bradley
recently said of his audition for the film: 'I think my agent had to
strong-arm Todd into seeing me that day. Todd and I hit it off in the
room, but I could see that I wasn't The Guy. You know? They had very
specific actors who they wanted to do the movie with - those actors
weren't uninterested.
'And they were unknowns. And when a studio is giving you $15m to make a movie and you want to use three unknowns? No way. So then it just went away. I forgot about it. '
The Hangover Part III hits cinemas on May 24.
