Dennis Rodman will never forget how to spell the name of Donald Trump's wife again.
Making the mistake of getting Melania Trump's name wrong won the former NBA star a one way ticket out of the Celebrity Apprentice's boardroom on Sunday.
On this week's show both teams were tasked with designing an advertorial campaign for Melania Trump's caviar skincare products.

From the get go Rodman's Team Power - consisting of Playboy Playmate Brande Roderick, Trace Adkins, and rapper Lil Jon - stood out as the team to beat - even if the controversial basketball star was an absent team leader.
On the other side Penn Jillette captained the Plan B - Stephen Baldwin, Gary Busey, Marilu Henner and Lisa Rinna - and the magician quickly had his team on edge with his 'condescending' manor.
While Rodman's team steamed ahead with their advertising idea, his handling of the project came under heavy criticism from his teammates.

Good start: The team came with an effective slogan to sell Donald Trump's wife's skin care range, 'Simply Melania, Simply Luxury'

He was accused of not handing out tasks and coasting his way through with country singer Trace Adkins having to shoulder the extra responsibilities coming up with the slogan of 'Simply Melania… Simply Luxury.'
While by far their advertising campaign stood out, they had a problem - spelling Melania's name 'Milania' on one piece of their project.
And Melania was stunned that Team Power misspelled her name in their campaign.

One name two ways: At the top of their advertisement they spelt Donald's wife's name incorrectly with an 'I' but spelt it correctly down the bottom

'I cannot believe they spelled my name wrong, it is all over the place and none of them even realised,' said a shocked Melania.

When Donald Trump brought the teams back to the boardroom he let them look at the other side's work.
And a smirking Trump was delighted that Plan B quickly spotted Team Power's error.
'Are you seeing that there could be a problem?' Donald said.

Easy mistake: Stephan Baldwin quickly spotted the error and was very pleased with himself

'Dennis there is a problem, her name was spelt incorrectly. That is a problem. That is not good. That is a bad one.'
And Rodman's team was stunned at their mistake.
'Wow, I did not even see that,' said Trace.
'Dennis the fact is you spelt her name wrong, so Dennis you lost,' said the famed billionaire, putting the whole team up for firing.

 

Time to face the music: Dennis immediately played the blame game when he was called out in the board room

Dennis was quick to deflect the blame, pinning it on the outside creative team that produced the posters and artwork.
'That was inexcusable. That little girl should have spelled it right, however, Dennis signed every one of those pieces of paper before we left that room,' said Trace.
And Brande agreed: 'I hate to say it as Dennis is my friend but it falls into the project manager's hands in this situation.'

Not alright: The country star said they should all feel responsible, 'I am embarrassed for all four of us, we are all grown adults and we missed the spelling mistake'

'But we did not write the name, I don't understand,' said Dennis. 'People do make mistakes, everyone does, that was a minor mistake that can easily be corrected.'
'Well it is a minor mistake, but it is the ultimate mistake,' said Donald.
Trace admitted he was responsible for the text and layout during the project and Lil John told Donald that in his view it was either Trace or Rodman who had to be fired.
In the end Rodman chose Trace and himself for the final showdown.

'This sucks. I don't need to get fired, I think I did a great job and focused on the presentation,' said the heavily tattooed star.
But Trace disagreed: 'I came up with the idea, the only thing you said they liked was the display and I was the one who did that.'
'I am embarrassed for all four of us, we are all grown adults and we missed the spelling mistake. 
'That does not change the fact that Dennis had his signature on those pieces of paper. He was the last person to look at it and he signed off on it.

'Dennis is a little unruly and very unpredictable and eccentric to the point it can be improper. Like when you asked to go and look in Melania's bathroom.'
While ultimately Donald signed Dennis' death warrant, the billionaire was full of praise for the wild contestant.
'You are not a disaster anymore Dennis, you are the comeback player of the year. 'Are you proud of yourself? You should be proud of yourself,' Donald said.
'It bothers me that you are in here all the time and every week I bring you back. But you are the project manager, you did lose and you are fired.'
Leaving the show on a positive note Donald said: 'Dennis is a great guy, a great character and I hate to lose him.'
