Far from Spock! Zachery Quinto is ruggedly handsome

To play Spock in the Star Trek franchise he dons peculiar aesthetics to alter his looks.
But Zachery Quinto is at his ruggedly handsome best as he poses in a new fashion shoot for Manhattan magazine.
The actor dives back into the spotlight by jumping into a pool dressed in a suit for the spread.

Soaked to the bone, he gives the camera his best smouldering stare as he poses in a suit and white shirt combination.
In the fashion spread, the actor also models a head-to-toe black ensemble, consisting of a black suit, matching T-shirt and lace-up shoes as he kneels under a giant lamp.
The 35-year-old also graces the cover of the magazine, dressed in a chic charcoal suit and buttoned up white shirt.

In an interview with the magazine, Zachery chats about his big return to the silver screen in the new Star Trek film.
He gushes about his co-stars, including Chris Pine and Simon Pegg, saying how much fun he had with them in between takes.

'We were in Northern California for the last 10 days of the shoot at this massive, industrial government space. Me, Pine, Benedict and Pegg all drove into San Francisco and had a raucous evening until the wee hours,' he says. 
'All of us had some really amazing experiences outside of those first films. I really genuinely love to work with them, to be with them and J.J (Abrahams).'
The openly gay actor, who is happy in a relationship with fellow actor Jonathan Groff, also reveals that he would like to try his hand at a romantic comedy next.
'I’d love to go on the record and say I’d love to do a romantic comedy. I’m always looking for opportunities… when I’m focused on the work I’m doing in the moment, and when I’m grateful for it, more comes to me,' he says.
In a joint interview with the magazine, Quinto's female co-star Zoe Saldana sings the praises of the star.
'What makes Zach unique as an actor is his confidence. Zach isn’t afraid to play a villain, or a psychopath, or a ghost,' she says.
'Usually, these are the characters that scare actors because of the complexities they possess, that sort of layered psychological demeanor… '
Judging by the latest trailer for the long awaited sequel of Star Trek– Star Trek Into Darkness isn’t going to disappoint.
With J.J Abrams taking the helm again, Pine and Quinto reprise their roles of Kirk and Spock in what looks to be a nail biting journey back into a galaxy far, far away.

 

Star Trek Into Darkness tells the following story: After being called back home, the crew of the Enterprise find a seemingly unstoppable force which has attacked Starfleet and left Earth in chaos.
Captain Kirk and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise are tasked with leading the deadly manhunt to capture the party responsible and settle an old score.
The film is set for release on May 17th of this year.
