Doting dad Ryan Phillippe supports his son Deacon by cheering from the sidelines at his football game
Ryan Phillippe is clearly a doting father.
The 37-year-old made a show of support for his nine-year-old son Deacon on Saturday.
Wearing a snapback cap the actor escorted his athletic boy to-and-from his football game at a park in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood, California.
The father-son duo appeared to be bit worn out by the heat on the exceptionally sunny day.
And little Deacon made sure to rehydrate as he clutched a large bottle of water
The elder Phillippe sported Nike trainers with athletic shorts and black T-shirt.
Attentive to his son's
post-game condition, the blonde star carried his football gear in a pack
slung over his well-muscled shoulder.
The Flags of Our Fathers actor kept a low-profile with dark sunglasses and an LA Dodgers baseball cap.
But the grade schooler was a bit more noticeable, as he showed his sporting spirit with a grey uniform displaying his team's logo.
Phillippe is also father to
daughters Ava, 13, from his marriage to Reese Witherspoon, and infant
Kai, one, from his brief relationship with Pitch Perfect actress Alexis
Knapp.
Ryan has recently been romantically linked to Ashley Greene, although their relationship was never confirmed.
It was rumoured that the Igby Goes Down actor was the unidentified man staying with Ashley as her condo on March 22.
Meanwhile, Phillippe will make his directorial debut with thriller Shreveport, to be released later this year.
He currently is promoting Isolated, a groundbreaking documentary on a largely undiscovered, dangerous region of surf around New Guinea.
The film - produced and narrated by Phillippe - centres on a community of feral surfers living in the extreme conditions of the secluded surf spot.
