Detectives today said they are no longer treating the death of a 49-year-old man at a Newquay nightclub as a murder.
Four people were arrested on Saturday following the incident outside Sailors at 3am on Saturday and later released on bail.
Officers had been trying to piece together what happened and were looking at CCTV but now say the man's death was as a result of a 'tragic accident'.
The victim has been named by friends as Mick Kearns, a keen angler from Birmingham, a website reported.
Police and paramedics were called to the club, where officers and a forensic team cordoned off the area.
