The award winning actress wore a comically awkward neck brace as part of her character's costume on the set of the new, currently untitled David O. Russell film shooting in Boston today.
The 21 year-old Lawrence also wore her hair up in a bun, showing off her gold hoop earrings, gaudy sunglasses with her white trench coat in-step with the film's late Seventies-era style.

Lawrence also sat passenger in a driving scene with 30 year-old Boardwalk Empire actor Jack Huston who wore a black suit, a bowl cut and a thick mustache.
Judging by the upbeat, at times gleeful and outgoing mood she displayed on set, the neck brace was all part of her character, rather than something meant to help remedy an actual neck injury.

currently untitled project is reportedly about the ABSCAM scandal, a
sting set up by the FBI to catch public officials in Philadelphia and
New Jersey during the late 70's.
To successfully pull the operation off, FBI agents hired a convicted con artist, played in the film by Christian Bale, to set the wheels in motion, helping them to nab a United States Senator and five members of The House of Representatives, among others.
Lawrence plays Bale's young, glamorous wife in the film.

is the second film Lawrence has worked on with the 54 year-old director
and she is already slated for a third, entitled The Ends of the Earth,
which Russell plans to direct.
After a six year gap in his career between 2004 and 2010 and a reputation for being frustratingly eccentric and incredibly difficult to work with, Russell has made a comeback with critically lauded and Oscar nominated films like The Fighter and Silver Linings Playbook.
With a cast that includes names and talents like Lawrence, Bale, Adams, Robert De Niro and Jeremy Renner, it appears the director is truly at the top of the game.
