He hit the ground and hid in his wardrobe while police exchanged fire between two men, suspected of being involved in the Boston Marathon bombings. When he emerged after the shooting had ended he spotted a bullet hole in his wall and through the chair where he had been sitting moments earlier. He told the BBC: "During the exchange I got on to the ground and went and hid in the closet. "When I came back out there was actually a hole in the wall right through a calendar and through my chair where I had been sitting. "The slug came to rest just at the foot of my bed. "I heard a sound and thought something had pinged off my window or something...it was a little more severe. "It was panic, pure panic. I got into my closet and just stayed there. "There was an exchange of gunfire that felt like it lasted for eternity and the explosions only started at the end. "It has been traumatic. I'm still shaking a little."
