BBC chiefs celebrate 200,000 more viewers for The Voice UK..


The BBC cheered on Saturday night as their £20 million show The Voice UK enjoyed 200,000 more viewers than the series opener.
The talent show also saw the people watching peak at 8.8 million while their competitor Ant And Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway had 7.5 million viewers at the most.
However, the series finale of the ITV entertainment show averaged 6.8 million viewers in total, 400,000 more that The Voice UK.

The BBC are happy with the upward direction the ratings of their singing competition are taking especially with the new series of Britain's Got Talent starting next Saturday on April 13th.

Simon Cowell's talent show will air at 7pm until 8.35pm, the exact time The Voice UK begins, so the British Broadcasting Company have rearranged their schedule to have their show begin at 6.45pm in the hopes viewers will remain on their channel.
A source told the Daily Mirror: 'ITV's move is disappointing.'

It's not in the best interests of viewers. BGT started at 8pm last year so viewers could watch both shows. It's a shame they can't this year.'
According to ITV, the earlier time for Britain's Got Talent was to allow younger fans of the show to be able to tune in.
However, the younger audience seemed to be tuning out of Doctor Who, which saw their viewers drop by a whopping one million.
The second episode of the new series secured 5.7 million viewers compared to last weeks 6.7 million.
Saturday's episode was the first written by Neil Cross, a new writer to the team who is famed for scripting the award-winning Luther series.
Despite his credentials, fans complained the sci-fi series had moved in the wrong direction, tweeting their complaints as the programme aired.
The Rings Of Akhaten episode featured the Time Lord's new companion Clara Oswald, and a BBC spokesperson said 'the series is in fine form and Jenna-Louise [Coleman] is a big hit with viewers.'

Dec, 37, made no secret of the fact that he had a crush on the pop star after she came runner-up on the ITV series last year.
'Oh my gosh. Everything I want to say is unbroadcastable or illegal – or career-ending. Let’s calm down,' Dec said on the show.
