It was a scary scene late Saturday evening for one prison in Maryland.
Officials for the Montgomery County Jail confirmed that at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Saturday locks on about 500 cell doors opened after a computer glitch.
Eerily enough the doors, which are on hinges, also opened from the same malfunction Tuesday.
Officials are looking into what caused the locks on 500 doors to open simultaneously twice in the last week at Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Maryland
An additional twenty police cars were called to the premises even though no inmates attempted to escape
It took about an hour for all the locks to be reset late Saturday night and no inmates tried to escape.
Additional police cars were called to the premises to provide a perimeter.
By Sunday morning it was back to business as usual with visitors being allowed in and court-mandated community service workers maintaining the property.
