Hammer tweeted:
"Thank You to all my friends and supporters. All CHARGES DECLINED. Dropped. Have A great Weekend. #nobeef"
The hashtag "nobeef" refers to a song of the same name by Hammer. Hammer included the link to the song in the tweet. The No Beef page plays the song and has a tweet from Hammer three months earlier.

God help Us.""The District Attorney did not charge in the interest of justice," Dublin Police Chief Tom McCarthy said on Saturday afternoon.
Hammer was arrested by Dublin Police services after being contacted by police. Officers spotted a vehicle parked at the Shell gas station near the shopping center at about 10:20 p.m. on Feb. 21 and noticed it had expired registration tags, police Lt. Herb Walters said.
The driver, 50-year-old Stanley Kirk Burrell -- better known as MC Hammer -- could not produce any proof that the vehicle was his and became uncooperative with the officers, Walters said.
Hammer was booked into the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin and released after being arrested on suspicion of obstructing an officer in the performance of his duties and resisting an officer. His court date was set for March 21.
Hammer has not given comment but has tweeted about the incident several times. On Twitter, he called his arrest a "teachable moment" and an "eye opener."
The rapper, who lives in Tracy, said on Twitter on Feb. 23 that a police officer tapped on his car window and asked him, 'Are you on parole or probation?'"
"It was comical to me until he pulled out his guns, blew his
whistle and yelled for help...but make no mistake, he's dangerous," he
wrote.
He then tweeted, "only thing more dangerous than a scared man with a gun, is a scared man with an agenda, a gun and a badge
Hammer is best known for his 1990 hit song "U Can't Touch This."
