However, the defense appealed their "Price is Right" lawsuit loss and Judge Kevin Brazile said that a state Supreme Court ruling affirmed the defense's argument that he should have instructed the jury to determine whether pregnancy discrimination was a "motivating factor" in Cochran's dismissal.
The judge then said that the jury might have come to a different conclusion if he had instructed them to do so. As a result, the victory will no longer stand and the two sides will return to court on March 22 to continue the case.
The defense attorneys in the "Price is Right" lawsuit said they believe the jury will not find in favor of the game show, but Cochran's attorney has different thoughts, believing his client can now win even more money than the original $8.5 million.
